She has a wealth of commercial and go-to-market experience having worked in various leadership roles in companies such as Illumina, Roche, Abbott Laboratories, Medtronic, Natera, Allergan, and Baxter Bioscience in the past.

Shadi Saberi, PhD

Founder & CTO

Shadi Saberi has over 13 years of research and industry experience in development of hardware systems, IC and PCB design, system  architecture. She has led iSono in development of ultrasound system and hardware architecture which includes the transmitter and receiver analog front-end, interface with ultrasound transducer array, as well as digital signal processing in FPGA. She has worked at Broadcom and Intel. She holds MS and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering both from Carnegie Mellon University.

Andrew Leynes, PhD

Director of Advanced Imaging and Machine Learning

Andrew is Biomedical/Medical imaging scientist with over 9 years of experience on digital image reconstruction, processing, algorithms and instrumentation hardware to improve the current state of medical imaging technologies. He has hands-on experience working with multiple medical imaging modalities such as: MRI, CT, PET, SPECT, Ultrasound, and Optical Imaging and has developed novel machine learning algorithms and post-processing and image reconstruction algorithms for 3D medical imaging. He received his Masters and PhD at the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).

Tony D'Alessandro

Director of Hardware Engineering

Tony is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in Medical Device development. He has worked for large companies such as Siemens and Covidien as well as start ups like Evalve Inc. (purchased by Abbott Vascular), Eargo and Eko. He consulted with Boston Scientific to help launch the MDU5 IVUS system and the FFR Link. In the last 16 years Tony has been principal in the launch of 5 medical devices. He holds a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from Arizona State University and degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Francisco State University.

Amir Skandani, PhD

Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Amir is very well versed in different areas of machine learning and infrastructure layout. He has experience with different cloud platforms and worked as machine learning solution architect in different industries. He is currently involved in developing and deploying iSono's ML solutions as well as doing the backend and infrastructure design. Prior to joining iSono, he worked in the energy sector with GE Oil & Gas, Shell and Marathonoil to build and deploy machine learning solutions. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech and was a research fellow for the soft robotics team at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).

Mohammad Ali Ghaderi, PhD

Principal Software Architect

Mohammad Ali Ghaderi started computer programming over 20 years ago when he was 13. He has a PhD in Software Engineering and two Masters in Information Technology and Software Engineering and a Bachelor in Scientific-Applied Computer Software. His interest in solving world problems has motivated him to work on breast cancer research as a part of his PhD dissertation. He is author of several scientific and technical papers. He has an expert in designing software architectures and developing complex software systems.

Narges Baniasadi, PhD

Advisor

Narges Baniasadi is an expert in bioinformatics and founded Bina Technologies to research on systems biology and high performance computing at Stanford University to the world of genomics. Narges has extensive experience in informatics and high performance computing. She holds multiple patents, and has several publications including the award-winning “ParaLearn” paper at the 2010 International SuperComputing Conference. She holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Narges lost her mother to Breast cancer and she is passionate about finding solutions for better screening and treatment of breast cancer.

Jeff Schlosser, PhD

Jeff Schlosser has 10 years of experience in developing novel ultrasound systems, medical devices, mechanical systems, and robotics. He was previously the founder & CEO of SoniTrack Systems (now acquired), where he designed and built ultrasound image guidance systems for surgery and radiation therapy. He has been a PI on several SBIR/STTR grants and is the recipient of several research awards. He hasa PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering from Stanford University.
